initiated a national campaign for socialized healthcare and encourages
Party locals, commissions and members to take part.

Socialist Party stands for a socialized health care system based on
universal coverage, salaried doctors and health care workers, and
revenues derived from a steeply graduated income tax.

STOP THE WAR/ SLASH THE MILITARY

 The Socialist Party
opposed the invasion
of Iraq from the start, and we continue to demand the immediate
withdrawal of all U.S. forces from Iraq.

The
Socialist Party is also working to build the National Assembly to End the Iraq
& Afghanistan Wars and Occupations, and will be taking
part in the July 10-12, 2009 National Assembly Conference in
Pittsburgh, PA.
We encourage locals to affiliate with the National Assembly and local
peace & justice coalitions as well as attend the July conference in
Pittsburgh.

is active in struggle to defend the rights of
immigrant workers. As part of this effort we have joined and endorsed
the Alliance for Fair Food and have helped to organize Fair Food
