Meeting of the National Action Committee Held by e-mail ballot on October 1-3, 2008 Attending: Andrea Pason, Jerry Levy (contacted by phone), Peter Moody, Greg Pason, Jerry Stastny and William Wharton. A motion on calling a National Committee mail ballot was submitted. Motion: The National Action Committee directs the National Secretary to create a National Committee mail ballot on authorizing the campaigns of Michael Belstein for the US House of Representatives in the 4th District (http://www.newmenu.org/mikebeilsteinforcongress/) and Walter Brown on the Pacific Green Party line in Oregon. This vote comes at the request of the Greater Multnomah County Local. The National Secretary is to ask for a pro and con statement. The pro-statement is to come form a member of the Greater Multnomah County Local and the con statement is to be submitted by Eric Chester, Peter Diamondstone or a person they choose. The ballot will be sent out no later than October 8, 2008 and NC members may vote by e-mail as long as they send a signed ballot for the files no later than Oct. 29, 2008. The wording of the ballot will be "To authorizes the campaigns of Walter Brown for Attorney General and Michael Beilstein for House of Representatives on the Pacific Green Party line in Oregon in 2008."
